Ruirun Hu
Ruirun Hu (胡睿润, they/them) is a playwright and lyricist based in New York, originally from Sichuan. Their work spans fiction, poetry, lyrics, theatre, and performance art, often engaging with identity, gender, and power.
Hu has performed in queer feminist comedy shows and sketch theatre, using humor to explore daily life and social realities of queer women. In recent years, their focus has shifted toward musical theatre, pushing the boundaries of queer Chinese narratives through lyrics, experimental music, and staged performance.
Yuelan
YUELAN (乐澜, they/them) is a Seattle-based composer, musician, and music director. Notably, they have composed and music directed for Seattle Shakespeare's touring Wooden O production of As You Like It and UW Drama's production of The Caucasian Chalk Circle, and music directed for Youth Theatre Northwest’s production of Hadestown. Their self-titled band has also performed at festivals such as Capitol Hill Block Party, Northwest Folklife, and Seattle Pridefest.

Christie Zhao
Christie Zhao (赵元媛) is a theatre director, producer, the founding artistic director of Seattle-based YUN theatre, a New York Theatre Workshop 2050 Artistic Fellow, and a member of the Ma-Yi Writers Lab. Zhao has directed works by Yilong Liu, Christopher Chen, and Lisa Price, as well as The Good Person of Szechwan. Raised in a working-class family in Anhui,
She holds degrees in Computer Science and Drama from the University of Washington. Her bold, politically engaged work explores identity, migration, and global perspectives on contemporary storytelling.
Shan Y. Chuang
Shan Y. Chuang is a Taiwanese choreographer, director, performer, and musician based in New York City. As a queer artist, her movement-driven work explores identity, migration, cultural memory, belonging, and self-discovery. She directed and choreographed Quiet Acts of Becoming at the Museum of Chinese in America and was the choreographer and creator of 10 Years in the Making, 10 Years of Me (City Artist Corps Grant) and Love Distance (Prelude Festival). Her collaborative devising credits include The Unfolding Voyage, The Legend of Mulan!, and New Immigrant, presented at PhysFestNYC, LiFest, and New York City public libraries.

CC Huang
Yingshi(CC) Huang (She/her) is a theatre producer and arts manager based in New York City. She earned her Master’s degree in Performing Arts Administration from New York University and has worked across general management, production, and marketing on projects in both Shanghai and New York. Her producing credits span Yue Opera New Dragon Gate Inn, the musicals Apollonia, Santa Lucia, Superstar, DRAG: The Musical, and Chunxiang, as well as the plays Crazy Talk, The Resurrection of Death, and Not Our Home, Not Our Home. Having worked in cross-cultural creative environments, CC specializes in coordinating artistic and production teams to ensure balance between vision and execution. She believes theatre is a space where stories connect people across cultures and is dedicated to fostering diverse, collaborative performance practices.
Anny Liu
Anny Liu (she/her) is a New York–based visual designer, community artist, and art therapist (LCAT). Her work bridges design, psychology, and cultural storytelling, with a focus on audience experience and emotional connection. As the Twin Bloom Collective’s visual designer, she shapes the overall visual identity and engagement strategy, using imagery and layout to translate its artistic themes into accessible community experiences. A graduate of UC Irvine and the School of Visual Arts, Anny also leads art-based workshops that promote mental health awareness within Asian diasporic communities.
Through both her clinical and artistic practice, she explores how visual design can cultivate empathy and collective reflection.

Wenting Tina Xu
Tina holds a Master’s degree in Marketing from New York University and serves as Program Director at Bonjour Girls, an international nonprofit organization supporting a community of over 10,000 members.
As a freelance event producer and stage manager, she has worked on concerts, theater productions, and cultural events in New York. She is also a radio host at AM1380 and has served as a line producer for multiple short films and short dramas.
Cast Team
Amanda Sun is an actor, singer, and musician from Shanghai, China. She earned her BFA in Musical Theater from Point Park University, where she also pursued minors in both dance and music. Her recent credits include One Log Bridge (Yan) at the New Hazlett Theater and Rent (Ensemble) at the Pittsburgh Playhouse.
In addition to performing, Amanda has experience in music direction, having served as Assistant Music Director for Legally Blonde at the Pittsburgh Playhouse and Shelter (workshop) at City of Asylum.
Originally from Taiwan, Yanzi Ding is a harpist, pianist, singer, and actress based in New York.
Fun facts: Vegan foodie and a lifelong Doraemon fan, as well as an associate working at an immigration firm, helping fellow artists navigate their O-1 visas and green cards. Yanzi also leads an artistic production company, Dear Nomadic Artists (DNA), which is dedicated to empowering immigrants through performances and cross-cultural assistance in the United States.

Haoyi Wen is a New York–based actor from Chongqing, China and a 2025 BFA Musical Theatre graduate from the University of Michigan.
Theatre credits include Flower Drum Song (East West Players), Kinky Boots (Bucks County Playhouse), You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown and RENT (Scranton Shakespeare Festival), Gavin Creel’s Loud Nite, and Jay Armstrong Johnson’s I Put a Spell on You.
